My journey from CEMS to MACH program

Name: Boglárka Eredics

Role: Account Executive

Department: Public Sector – Enterprise Partner Group

Hi,

My name is Bogi and I completed my studies at Corvinus University of Budapest in Master in Business Development and at HEC Paris in CEMS Master in International Management.

I have always been interested in relationship management, consulting and although I didn’t have IT background, I have always been excited to get more involved with information technology, as an area of expertise. As I was getting closer to the end of my studies I started to look for graduate programs, which would enable me to learn at a faster rate, and to provide me the flexibility to change role if it didn’t fit me. An international internship is for the completion of CEMS master degree and therefore I was keen to secure one that fit my interests as well as contributed towards my degree. I was looking to secure a position where my energy and ambitions were welcomed and where hard work was appreciated.

Microsoft’s MACH (Microsoft Academy of College Hires) program was far the best graduate program available on the job market. It offers exposure to a variety of tasks as part of the role, challenges daily and international atmosphere. It is a two-year graduate program that provides international, on the spot and a variety of online trainings, support from the management, local and international networking opportunities with other MACHs. Each member of the MACH community has the chance to get to know different solutions, cutting edge technologies and people at different positions from all around the world. Therefore, I haven’t regretted joining the company ever since. It is a truly dynamic company with a strong sales focus and with a leading position in the market.

I joined the program 6 months ago and my enthusiasm has been increasing ever since. I am an Account Executive specialized on the healthcare sector. My role is to help the healthcare institutions on the digitalization’s path. Although it’s quite a challenge to learn about new features/products/services, prepare and conduct partner and customer meetings on a weekly basis, it is great to work with senior colleagues who have expertise in the industry and/or in sales. I feel my knowledge has been broadening and my skills have been expanding week by week.

It is also important to mention the incredible flexibility of the organization. For my CEMS Master degree I have a 10 week international internship to complete. Since my manager learned about this, he has been proactively thinking of ways of supporting me. As a result, I had the chance to get involved in a CEE level project in Milan, this spring. I am hoping to gain experience that I benefit from, once I came back to Hungary.

I truly recommend the MACH program to those fresh graduates who are eager to face challenges and are motivated to learn and to make a difference.
